The BBC have recently reported that ambulances over the Christmas period were having to queue to get into A&E, with more than 40% of crews being forced to wait at least half an hour to hand over their patients. Thankfully, there is hope that the pressure should ease, with flu and Covid admissions beginning to fall. Read On

Paralegal Nancy Tebbutt talks through the recent announcement that NHS England are expanding direct access to diagnostic scans across all GP practices. At present, if a GP wishes to complete diagnostic scans on a patient with suspected cancer, they will refer the patient to a specialist hospital. Read On

Despite what I do for a living, I have the greatest respect for the NHS and its staff. They mostly do an exceptional job. Indeed, a number of my own family are clinical staff within the NHS. They accept that when the NHS makes mistakes then it is only proper that victims are compensated. A bit like the Medical Experts who we use in cases. They are not pro-Claimant, they just recognise that the only real way to drive up standards in the NHS is to recognise mistakes. Read On
